I have a job! ^____^ Walmart hired me! I have to go for a Drug Test tomorrow morning, but that should be no problem. Though I do feel kind of bad for making Poppa drive me out there… but Mom has to be to work at 7am and doesn’t get out until it’s too late for me to go. -_-;;

But I have a job!! *happy dances!* $7.45 / hour in the Housewares Dept. ^___^

Okay, now that that’s out of the way… I shall commence with a rant that’s kind of distracting me right now. lol ^^;; Don’t mind me – seriously! – I’m just venting.

I don’t know where all the Fullmetal Alchemist fangirls have come from so suddenly, but all I know is that they’re pissing me off. They seem to have discovered my archive and are desperate to sink they stupid Mary Sues into my perfectly quiet fanfiction archive.

To date, I’ve turned away five, let two in. And the two I did allow in seem to have this stupid idea that they NEED to use fucking huge, animated .gif images in their story summaries. And not only that, they seem to think they need to recount every moment of their pathetic little stories in a nutshell inside their summary as well. So… behold, a 40kb LiveJournal icon PLUS a huge paragraph of text and quotes from the series. I swear, they add any more shit into their summaries and I’ll have a mini website inside each story block.

Nuh uh. Ain’t happening.

To those who don’t know, I run an automated fanfiction archive that works a bit like a moderated version of Fanfiction.net. My brother and I screen stories based on spelling, grammar, basic structure (ie: they use paragraphs), word usage, etc. I’ve just noticed that the majority of Mary Sue authors don’t have just the problem with their characters, it’s usually paired with lousy spelling, grammar errors big enough to drive a Mac truck through, etc. So far, I’ve had the luck of getting mostly decent quality stories.

Now that seems like it isn’t going to be good enough. These authors seem to be a bit more sophistocated than the average Sue. Their spelling, grammar, etc. seems to be pretty solid. It’s just a collection of really ugly Mary Sues as near as I can tell. lol In a way, it almost feels like a Denial of Service Attack – Sue style.

So… next person to sink an image into their summary will have their account banned. That’s a promise, not a threat.
